About

It all started back in the 1990's when we moved to a converted barn in the Kent countryside with our young family.

Dispirited with my commute to my graphic design studio in London I had a dream to make and sell my own artworks. I built a studio in the barn's garage and despite my heavy workload of graphic design work started creating decorative pieces and selling them in shops, galleries and through free publicity in Lifestyle magazines. If the internet had been around then it may have succeeded but it was to be another twenty years before my dream would come to fruition.

In the barn days I was hand carving and painting wooden folk art pieces, painting decorative boxes, and making paper cut outs. I also stencilled and mural painted the barn in an American folk art style.

Having now moved on to Bath I still have a love for folk art but now include other works influenced by my years as a graphic designer and as a collector of tin toys and other ephemera.

I hope you will enjoy looking at my work and be inspired to buy something.
